75TH Constitution Day Celebration 2024

The  National Service Scheme and the Sophists Social Science Associations jointly organised the 75th Constitution Day celebrations at the College auditorium at 10 am. The programme started with the college prayer song and NSS anthem, followed by a welcome speech by Arya A.R., the NSS student coordinator. Mr. Joyal Joseph (First Semester B.Ed. Social Science) delivered a special talk on the "Constitution of India in the 21st Century." He pointed out the evolution, specialities, continuous challenges, etc. Mr. Unni M. (Social Science Lecturer) delivers felicitations, and Ms Sinu Sam delivers a vote of thanks to the students and other personalities. The programme ended at 10:50 PM.

Model Examination for First Semester B.Ed. Curriculum 2024

The model (internal) examination schedule for the First Semester B.Ed. Curriculum was scheduled on the 28th, 29th, and 30th of November 2024, before the commencement of the First Semester B.Ed. Examination in December 2024. The schedule of the model exam is the following:

The microteaching for the first semester B.Ed. Social Science students was held on November 18, 2024, at pm. Out of 10 student teachers, five of them acted as observers in the presence of Mr. Unni M, the social science lecturer. 'Ethirineram' Children's Day Celebration @ Jyothis Special School and Therapy Centre, Mavelikara

' Ethirineram ', t he Children's Day celebration of the Peet Memorial Training College National Service Scheme was held on 14th November 2024 at 10:00 am at Jyothis Special School and Therapy Centre, Puthiyakavu, Mavelikara. Rev. Vinod Eshow, the Manager of Jyothis Special School and Therapy Centre welcomed the NSS volunteers and other distinguished guests and introduced them to the institution. He also emphasised the importance of special care for disabled learners and how to care for disabled students in our society as a teacher. Dr Mumtas S, the Assistant Professor and the Programme Officer of the NSS unit and Mr Biju David, the Staff representative addressed felicitations to the NSS volunteers and the students of Jyothis Special School. Social Science Demonstration Class for First Semester B.Ed. Students

The demonstration classes for the First Semester B.Ed. Students were held on 12th November 2024 from 10:30 am to 12:30 am at the Social Science classroom of the Peet Memorial Training College, Madelia as part of the B.Ed. Curriculum. The standard VIII D students of Bishop Hodges Higher Secondary School, Mavelikara were the demonstration classes' specimen. The demonstration classes were taken by Ms Thaasniya N, Ms Sunaina A.S.  and Mr Sriraj who are the alumnus of S.N. Training College, Neduganda, Varkala as the resource persons.  The First session of the demonstration class was taken by Ms Thaasniya N on the topic 'Layers of Atmosphere' with the help of a paper chart and activity from 10:30 am to 11:15 am. The second session of the demonstration class was taken by Ms Sunaina A.S. on the topic ' Uses of Oceans to Man' with the help of a PowerPoint presentation, paper chart and the activity from 11:15 am to 11:55 am. The online seminar presentation for the social science option was held on November 8th, 2024, at 9 pm in the presence of Mr. Unni M., the lecturer of the social science option at Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara. Joyal Joseph delivered the topic 'CONTENT ORGANISATION TREATMENT OF SOCIAL SCIENCE-FUSION'. After the presentation, student teachers asked questions related to this topic, and he presented his response. The online seminar ended at 10 pm. 

Oath Taking Ceremony for Dhuthi (ദ്യുതി) College Union 2024-2025

The Oath Taking Ceremony of newly elected office bearers of Dhuthi (ദ്യുതി) College Union of the Peet Memorial Training College was held on 7th November 2024 at the College Auditorium at 10:30 am. Dr Sony Mary Varghese, the Assistant Professor and the Union Advisor delivered an introductory address and announced newly elected members of the College Union. Mr Sefon Sanu Mathew took oath as the Chairman of the College Union administered by Dr Alie Molly Verghis, the College Principal. The oath/affirmation of other office bearers was administered by Mr Sefon Sanu Mathew, the College Union Chairman. Seven out of 15 officers including the Chairman took oath in the name of God and eight out of 15 took into office as affirmation. Dr Alie Molly Verghis delivered the keynote and felicitation addresses to the newly elected office-bearers. College Union Keralapiravi Celebration 2024

The College Union of Peet Memorial Training College conducted its first programme on 04 November 2024 at 02:15 pm as part of the Keralapiravi celebrations. The Keralapravi celebration was conducted by organising the Nadanpatt competition (folksong competition). The participants in six options range between 3-7 students participated in this competition by singing a variety of songs. Dr Mumtas S, Dr Velayudhan T Nair and Unni M  are the judges on this programme. Team English secured First Prize, Team Mathematics secured second prize and Team Social Science secured Third prize. SOPHISTS Social Science Association Inauguration 2024 and Keralapiravi Celebrations

The Inauguration of the SOPHISTS Social Science Association and Keralapiravi Celebration was held on 04th November 2024 at 11 am at the College Auditorium presided by Unni M, the Social Science option faculty and SOPHISTS Social Science Association President. Rev. C.I. Jose, the Vicar of CSI Christ Church, Mavelikara inaugurated the session and delivered a keynote address. The official logo of the SOPHISTS Social Science Association was revealed by Rev C.I. Jose. Mr John Anil described the meaning of SOPHISTS and its significance.  Dr Mumtas S (Principal-in-Charge & NSS Programme Co-ordinator) and Ms Vismaya Vinod delivered felicitations. Ms Haritha Raju, the SOPHISTS Social Science Association secretary welcomed the distinguished guests to the session. Mr Meril Iype Shaji expressed a vote of thanks for the session. Weekly Assembly 2024

The Weekly Assembly of the Peet Memorial Training College was conducted by Social Science students wearing traditional Kerala costumes on 04 November 2024 at 10:00 am after taking attendance. The Assembly started with the College Prayer Song  'Lead, Kindly Light...' by the College Choir. The National Pledge was done by Ms Aswani L., with quotes from the Holy Bible, Bhagwat Geeta and the Holy Quran recited by Mr Meril Iype Shaji, Ms Sinu Sam and Ms Shafina Kabir (Natural Science). After these, there was a thought for the day done by Ms Sruthy M Nair delivered the speech about Swami Vivekananda. After Sruthy's speech, Mr John Anil delivered a book review of ' Chindambarasmaranakal ', the collection of poems by Balachandra Chullikkad. Ms Lintu Mohan delivered daily news based on Malayalam newspapers and Ms Haritha Raju read Campus News.
