TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE II: WEEK 7 (27.01.2026-31.01.2026)

26.01.2026 (Monday): Republic Day (Holiday for Schools).  Day 26 (27.01.2026) It was the first day of the seventh week of my school  internship.    I  entered the school at 9:20 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers.  The school officially started after the prayer song. During the first two periods, I was engaged in school internship-related activities. In the fourth period, I went to Class IX B for the substitution and conducted the Achievement Test on three chapters, worth 25 marks. 18 out of 28 students wrote their answers in the answer scripts, and it continued till 12:10 pm (the first part of the fourth period). 77TH REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

The National Service Scheme of the Peet Memorial Training College organised the 76th Republic Day celebrations at the college in the presence of Dr. Mumtas, the NSS Programme officer of the college, on 26th January at 09:30 am. Dr Alie Molly Verghis, the College Principal, presided over the session and Shri. Koshy John (Retd. ADM and Vice President, Alumni Association)  unfurled the national flag. The students and teachers sang patriotic songs, including   Jana Gana Mana   and   Vande Mataram . He delivered a speech regarding maintaining national integration and harmony among the diversity in our country. The programme ended at 10 am.

INAUGURATION OF THE READING & RECREATION ROOM FOR STUDENTS @ MAHATMA BOYS' HSS, CHENNITHALA

The Inauguration of the newly constructed Reading and Recreation Room for the students was held on January 23, 2025, at 3 pm. This room was constructed by the SSLC (Class X A) 1976 Alumni Batch. 

TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE II: WEEK 6 (19.01.2026-23.01.2026)

 Day 21 (19.01.2026) It was the first day of the sixth week of my school  internship.    I  entered the school at 9:20 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers.  The school officially started after the prayer song. During the first three periods, I was engaged in school internship-related activities.  In the fourth period, I  visited Class IX B and taught a class on the topic 'Western Coastal Plain' from the chapter 'Along the Coasts'. It was an average experience where students actively participated in the class . The topic was discussed on the features and significance of the Western Coastal region.  Then I went to the kitchen, distributed lunch to the students, and returned to the staffroom to have my lunch.    Day 14: 12.01.2026 (Monday) It was the first day of the fifth week of my school  internship.    I  entered the school at 9:15 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. Six student teachers from St. Mary's Women's College for Teacher Education, Thiruvalla, participated in a one-month school induction programme covering various subjects. The day began with the school assembly at 9:30 a.m. This assembly observed two significant days: National Youth Day on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and Deworming Prevention Day. Students of Class VIII B initiated the Assembly by singing the prayer song, National Pledge, news headlines, a speech related to the observance of the day and so on. The University of Kerala issued a notification for the Third Semester B.Ed. Degree Examination, December 2025, on November 15, 2025. The exam commenced on December 15, 2025, and concluded on January 9, 2026. 

TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE PHASE II: WEEK 4 (06.01.2026-09.01.2026)

 Day 12: 06.01.2026 (Tuesday) It was the first day of the fourth week of my school internship, following the long interval due to the Third semester of B.Ed. examination and Christmas vacation.   I  entered the school at 9:15 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. The school officially started after the prayer song. During the first period, I was engaged in school internship-related activities. In the second period, I got a substitution in class IX B, and I casually asked about the Christmas vacation news. After the interval, I again went to Class IX B for the substitution as part of the Internal arrangement. I taught the topic 'Gender and Sex' under the Chapter 'Towards a Gender-Neutral Society' under the Social Science I.
