The SOPHISTS Social Science Association presented a gift to Mr. Unni M., who taught social science option teacher trainer and served as the president of the SOPHISTS Social Science Association for the last academic year, 2024-2026. He provided some guidelines as a student teacher for upcoming teaching practice as well as the career. Compliment Meeting for Dr. Mumtas S and Mr. Tony Cherian

The  Peet Memorial Training College complimented Dr. Mumtas S., who was elected as a member of the Academic Council to the University of Kerala, and Mr. Tony Cherian, who won the intercollegiate staff chess championship organised by MSM College, Kayamkulam, held on 28th March 2025, at 11 am. Dr. Sony Mary Verghis welcomed the program, and Dr. Alie Molly Verghis (Principal) remarked on the complimentary speech, and she initiated ponnada to the achievers. Dr. Renjany K.R. (Assistant Professor, Commerce), Mr. Biju David (Non-Teaching Staff), and Ms. Sruthy M. Nair gave felicitation to Dr. Mumtas S and Mr. Tony Cherian. Dr. Mumtas S. and Mr. Tony Cherian remarked on the response to the college's congratulations. The session also commemorated the achievement of Mr. Joyal Joseph (Second Semester B.Ed. Social Science), who secured first place in the TECLIB Current Affairs Online QUIZ in March 2025. The session ended at 11:30 am. 

Shafina Kabeer's Bride to be

Shafina Kabeer, a second-semester B.Ed. Natural Science in the B.Ed. Batch 2024-2026 of the Peet Memorial Training College is getting married to Fazal from Idukki on April 20, 2025, at 12 noon at Mangalya Auditorium, Kallumkadavu, Pathanapuram, Kollam. As part of her wedding, the batchmates organised a bachelorette party for the bride-to-be in the presence of the principal and teachers. Students welcomed her by wearing sasha and special glasses, celebrated by cutting the cake and distributing sweets, and so on. Wishing you all the best for the future and a happy married life, dear Shafina!

ARTESANIA 2025: SUPW Exhibition

The Peet Memorial Training College Organised the  ARTESNIA 2025  SUPW exhibition, held on 27th March 2025,  at 2:30pm in the college auditorium. Principal Dr. Alie Molly Verghis inaugurated the session, and Dr. Sony Mary Verghis presided over the session. This session also held the official farewell to Mr. Unni M. (guest lecturer, social science option) and Mr. Ganesh U. (college psychologist on contract), who served the college for the last academic year. The student teachers produced various goods as part of their SUPW products, such as book binding, lantern making, flower making, bottle art, embroidery work, and recycling of waste products. Along with the exhibition, the sale of the products is allowed in this exhibition. The programme ended at 3:30 pm. Anti-Drug Campaign: 'Choice of Life'

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell, in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotic Cell and Counselling Cell of the Peet Memorial Training College, organised the anti-drug campaign 'Choice of Life,' which was held on March 27, 2025, at 10:30 am in the natural science classroom. Mr. Aji Aravind, Sub Inspector of  Police, inaugurated the programme and ASSAD Sena, the wing of the National Service Scheme project.   The ASSAD Sena Cell of the college is dedicated to creating a safe, drug-free campus environment through education, prevention, and support initiatives. The cell aims to equip students and staff with the knowledge and tools to combat drug abuse by fostering awareness and providing essential resources. Committed to promoting holistic well-being and responsible citizenship, the cell actively engages the college community in building a healthier and more secure future. Women Study Cell Inauguration 2025

The Women Study Cell of the Peet Memorial Training College was organised on March 26, 2025, at 10 a.m. The Programme started with the prayer song by the college choir, followed by the welcome speech by Dr. Elizabeth Joshua, Women Study Cell coordinator. Dr. Alie Molly Verghis presided over the session, and Ms. Jubi Abey (first-year B.Ed. physical science) introduced the guest. Dr. Sreevindha Nair N., Associate Professor, NSS Training College, Pandalam, inaugurated the Women Study Cell's activities. Dr. Sony Mary Varghese (staff secretary) and  Mrs Beena A. (Headmistress, AOMMLPS, Mavelikara) felicitated the session. This session witnessed  the handover of Cycle to an outstanding student who was studying at the B.H. H.S.S., Mavelikara, by  Dr. Sreevindha Nair N. The subscription for the comic books for a particular school is by Dr. Sreevindha Nair N. The cultural programme, was held during this programme and Ms. Lekshmi H remarked with a vote of thanks to the session....

'Oru Pothi Sneham' Food Drive: Hunger Free Mavelikara Campeign

The National Service Unit of the Peet Memorial Training College organised the 'Oru pothi Sneha' food drive by collaborating with the Vishapp Rahitha Mavelikara (Hunger Free Campaign) held on 24th March 2024. The NSS Volunteers prepared and brought their lunch for this campaign at 10 am. The program was officially started at the college at 12 pm with an NSS prayer song. Ms. Arya A.R. (NSS Volunteer Secretary) officially welcomed the campaign, and Dr. Mumtas S. (NSS Programme Officer) presided over the program. Dr. Alie Molly Verghis (Principal of Peet Memorial Training College) inaugurated the campaign by handing over food to Mr. Joyal Joseph (batch representative). The representatives of NSS volunteers went to the Vishapp Rahitha Mavelikara food collection point situated near the Mavelikara KSRTIC bus stand at 12:20 pm and distributed to the organizers of this campaign.
