The Sophists Social Science Association of the Peet Memorial Training College observed the United Nations Day in the Natural Science classroom on 24th October 2024. The UN day was followed by a special lecture on UN day delivered by Joyal Joseph, the Batch Representative designate and Sophists Social Science Association member pointed out the aspects that led to the formation of the United Nations and its relevance.  The COMEX (Commerce Association) and NUMINA (Mathematics Association) of the Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, jointly conducted an association inauguration titled 'COMATICS 2K24' on October 2024 at 10 am at the College Auditorium. The inauguration of both associations was inaugurated by Dr. Alie Molly Verghis, the college principal. The programme started with the prayer song by the college choir. Ms. Aiswarya M., Secretary of the Mathematics Association, delivered the welcome speech. Dr. Renginy K.R., the teacher-in-charge of commerce, delivered the presidential address. The University of Kerala notified the election to the College Union of the Peet Memorial Training College on September 5, 2024. Students interested in holding offices submitted their applications to the Returning Officer, who scrutinised them on October 10, 2024. One nomination was rejected due to the age barrier to the office of University Union Councillor. 11 out of 15 seats are elected unopposed and 3 posts are needed for the election. The election was held on the 18th of October, 2024 from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm at the Natural Science classroom for the following posts: Vice Chairperson, Arts Club Secretary and Lady Representatives (2 vacancies).  The Meet the Candidates was held on 16th October 2024 at 1:30 p.m., and all candidates contesting various positions delivered messages to voters containing their electoral promises. The Free Medical Camp was conducted by the National Service Scheme Unit of Peet Memorial Training College by collaborating with St. Thomas Mission Hospital, Kattanom and St. Thomas Karkithos Cancer Centre on 18th October 2024 at the College  Auditorium presided over by Dr Sony Mary Varghese, Assistant Professor, Peet Memorial Training College. Shri K.V. Sreekumar, Chairman of Mavelikara Municipality inaugurated the programme. Mrs Santhi Ajayan (Ward Councilor and Health Standing Committee Chairperson of Mavelikara Municipality delivered the keynote address. Mr Biju David (Staff Representative) and others felicitated on this programme. Doctors provided guidelines to the students regarding the symptoms of various types of cancer. Many people attended the free medical camp mainly free eye testing and cancer screening.  Shri K.V. Sreekumar inaugurated the Free Medical Camp.   

As per the B.Ed. Curriculum, the School Induction Programme was held from 7th October to 14th October 2024. The Induction Programme for me was allotted at the Mahatma High School for Girls, Chennithala in the Alappuzha District with 6 other student teachers. The School Induction Programme is the programme that helps to a series of events and activities that help new student teachers adjust to their new school environment. The School Induction Programme is the opportunity to acquaint with the school environment and its functioning.  This helps the new aspirants by providing information, resources, and motivation to make them more professional and efficient in that field. The School Induction Team was supervised by Dr Sony Mary Varghese, Assistant Professor at Peet Memorial Training College Mavelikara. The Swatchata Hi Seva campaign was observed from 17th September 2024 to 2nd October 2024 by the National Service Scheme of the Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara. Dr Mumtas S (Programme Officer) and Ms Arya A.R. (Student Co-Ordinator) initiated this programme. NSS volunteers cleaned the College premises on 1st October 2024.
