TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE II: WEEK 6 (19.01.2026-23.01.2026)

 Day 21 (19.01.2026)

It was the first day of the sixth week of my school internship.  I entered the school at 9:20 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. The school officially started after the prayer song. During the first three periods, I was engaged in school internship-related activities. In the fourth period, I visited Class IX B and taught a class on the topic 'Western Coastal Plain' from the chapter 'Along the Coasts'. It was an average experience where students actively participated in the class. The topic was discussed on the features and significance of the Western Coastal region. Then I went to the kitchen, distributed lunch to the students, and returned to the staffroom to have my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then I went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with the teachers. In the next three periods, I was engaged in school internship-related activities. In the eighth period, I went for the substitution at Class VIII C. The school closed with the National Anthem at 3:45 pm, and I left the school with the permission of the Headmistress at 3:50 pm. 


Day 22 (20.01.2026)

It was the second day of the sixth week of my school internship.  I entered the school at 9:20 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. The school officially started after the prayer song. During the first two periods, I was engaged in school internship-related activities. In the third period, I received a substitution and conducted a diagnostic test for Social Science for Class IX B. The students actively participated in the examination process. They signed the prescribed form for the examination and wrote their answers in the question paper. In the fourth period, I was evalauted the papers after the examination.  Then I went to the kitchen, distributed lunch to the students, and returned to the staffroom to have my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then I went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with the teachers. In the next three periods, I was engaged in school internship-related activities. During the last two periods, I had disciplinary duty and bus duty.  The school closed with the National Anthem at 3:30 pm due to a staff meeting, and I left the school with the permission of the Headmistress at 4:20 pm. 


Day 23 (21.01.2026)

It was the third day of the sixth week of my school internship.  I entered the school at 9:10 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. The school officially started after the prayer song. During the first three periods, I was engaged in school internship-related activities.  In the fourth period, I visited Class IX B and taught a class on the topic 'Eastern Coastal Plain' from the chapter 'Along the Coasts'. It was an average experience where students actively participated in the class. The topic was discussed on the features and significance of the Eastern Coastal region. Then I went to the kitchen, distributed lunch to the students, and returned to the staffroom to have my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then I went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with the teachers. In the fifth period, I was engaged in the school-internship-related activities. In the sixth period, I went again to Class IX B and taught the topic 'Islands in India' from the chapter 'Along the Coasts'. It was an average experience where students actively participated in the class. The topic was discussed in terms of the features and significance of the Eastern Coastal region. In the last two periods, I was engaged in the school-internship-related activities. I left the school due to an urgent activity to be completed at the college at 3:30 pm. The school closed with the National Anthem at 3:30 pm.


Day 24 (22.01.2026)

It was the fourth day of the sixth week of my school internship.  I entered the school at 9:10 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. The school officially started after the prayer song. During the first three periods, I was engaged in school internship-related activities.  In the fourth period, I visited Class IX B and taught a class on the topic 'Eastern Coastal Plain' from the chapter 'Along the Coasts'. Day 25 (22.01.2026)

It was the fifth day of the sixth week of my school internship.  I entered the school at 9:10 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. The school officially started after the Assembly. The school assembly was led by Class IX B, and they started the school Assembly by singing a prayer song, the national pledge, news reading, a thought for the day, and a Republic Day special speech. Then K. Vijayalekshmi, the school Headmistress, addressed the students during the assembly, and she distributed certificates to students for various competitions. The School Assembly was concluded by the National Anthem at 09:50 am. During the first two periods, I was engaged in school internship-related activities. In the third period, visited Class IX B and taught a class on the topic 'Natural Vegetation on the Coastal Region' from the chapter 'Along the Coasts'. It was an average experience where students actively participated in the class. The topic was discussed on the features and significance of the National Vegetation in the Coastal region. Reshma Raveendran observed the class. In the fourth period, I was engaged in school internship-related activities. Then I went to the kitchen, distributed lunch to the students, and returned to the staffroom to have my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then I went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with the teachers. During the fifth and sixth periods, I was engaged in school internship-related activities. Then I went to the kitchen again and distributed milk to the students from Classes V to VIII. In the last period, the school management organised a function for the inauguration of the reading and recreation room, donated by the SSLC Batch 1976. After inanuguration, the function was arranged in connection with the inauguration of the reading and recreation room. The school closed with the National Anthem at 4:45 pm due to a staff meeting, and I left the school with the permission of the Headmistress at 4:50 pm.
