Talent Day for First Year B.Ed. students was conducted on 29th August 2024 at the College Auditorium. Many teachers and students attended this session. Students did their cultural activities in this session.
The field trip for the first semester of B.Ed. Curriculum was visited in Thiruvananthapuram City on 27th September 2024. The journey started at 6:24 am from the college, and we had breakfast on the way to Nilamel, Kollam District. The trip started with the Prayer by Dr Elizabeth Joshua. The trip was travelled via Tharakara- Mamkamkuzhy- Charumoodu- Adoor- Kottarakara- Vamanapuram- Pothencode- Kazhakuttom Thiruvallam route. The breakfast was served at Hotel Bismillah at Nilamel, Kollam District at 08 am and left at 08:45 am. The first spot for the field trip was Kerala Arts and Craft Village, Vellar, Thiruvananthapuram reached at 10:19 am. On August 5, 2024, the NSS Unit of Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, gave A O M M LPS, Mavelikara, newspaper and comic book subscriptions. On August 5, 2024, the NSS Unit and Extension Cell of Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, extended their support to a community school by giving AOMMLPS, Mavelikara, subscriptions to newspapers and comic books. Together, all of the NSS volunteers planned this event. The honourable guest, Shri. Varghese Pothen officially opened a reading corner. At 10:30 am, the schoolchildren performed a prayer song to kick off the event. Rev. C.I. Jose then blessed the occasion. The event was opened by Shri. The B.Ed. Course 2024-2026 inauguration ceremony was held at Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, on 29th July 2024. The session started at 10.30 am. Former Principal Dr. Jiby George inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. Rev. C.I. Jose gave the presidential address. A brief introduction to the B.Ed. The National Service Scheme of the Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara organised Snehakootte, the Old age home visit to Gandhi Bhavan Snehaveed at Haripad on 25th September 2024 at 10:30 am. Mr Shameer Muhammed, the Director of Gandhi Bhavan Snehaveed, Haripad welcomed all volunteers and introduced the Gandhi Bhavan and its inmates. Dr Mumtas S, Programme Officer, Mr Biju David (LD Clerk, Peet Memorial Training College) and Arya A.R. (NSS Student Coordinator) delivered speeches. The Volunteers of the NSS initiated activities such as music, experience sharing, games, speeches and mimicry with the inmates of Gandhi Bhavan Snehaveed. The NSS volunteers collected some goods for the inmates of Gandhi Bhavan Snehaveed and it was distributed to the inmates. Batch 2024-2026) of the Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara. The journey started at 05:25 am from the college. Sefon Sanu Mathew and Joyal Joseph were the trip coordinators, and Dr Sony Mary Varghese, Dr. Mumtas S., and Dr. Velayudhan T. Nair are the escorting teachers for this field trip. The field trip package was arranged by Thrilok Holidays & Packages, Komalloor, Chunakara. The trip started with a prayer by Joyal Joseph (batch representative of the Dyuthi College Union) after taking attendance. Some students joined the trip on the way at Mamkamkuzhy, Pandalam, Kaipattoor, and Peerumede. The Oath Taking Ceremony of newly elected office bearers of Dhuthi (ദ്യുതി) College Union of the Peet Memorial Training College was held on 7th November 2024 at the College Auditorium at 10:30 am. Dr Sony Mary Varghese, the Assistant Professor and the Union Advisor delivered an introductory address and announced newly elected members of the College Union. Mr Sefon Sanu Mathew took oath as the Chairman of the College Union administered by Dr Alie Molly Verghis, the College Principal. The oath/affirmation of other office bearers was administered by Mr Sefon Sanu Mathew, the College Union Chairman. Seven out of 15 officers including the Chairman took oath in the name of God and eight out of 15 took into office as affirmation. The Induction Programme for me was allotted at the Mahatma High School for Girls, Chennithala in the Alappuzha District with 6 other student teachers. The School Induction Programme is the programme that helps to a series of events and activities that help new student teachers adjust to their new school environment. The School Induction Programme is the opportunity to acquaint with the school environment and its functioning. This helps the new aspirants by providing information, resources, and motivation to make them more professional and efficient in that field.
