District Awareness Programme on Indian Constitution Programme @ T.K. Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara
The Department of History, University of Kerala, and the Department of Law, University of Kerala, National Service Scheme Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta Districts region conducted the District Awareness Programme on Indian Constitution Programme at T.K. Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara on 3rd March 2025 from 10 am to 4 pm. The Programme started at 10 a.m. after registration. Mr. R. Rajesh, Syndicate Member of the University of Kerala, inaugurated the programme and presided over it by Prof. Dr. Rajeev S.R. (Professor and Principal-in-Charge, T.K. Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara). Prof. Dr. Shaji A delivered the keynote address, Dr. Parvathy U delivered a felicitation, and Ms. Preeth M.V. delivered the vote of thanks. The first session of the programme was delivered by Adv. D Lilly (Resource Person, Kerala Institute of Local Administration) on the topic "Fundamental Rights and Duties: Envisioning Justice and Responsibility." The second session was delivered by Adv. Safiya Sudheer (former government Government Pleader and public prosecutor, Alappuzha), who delivered a lecture on the topic "Constitutional rights and duties in digital rights: Ways and Challenges. Ms. Bindu V.K. (Assistant Professor & Head of the Department, Department of Malayalam, T.K. Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara) chaired both sessions. The programme was ended by the programme evaluation and the certificate distribution. Around 40 representatives from different colleges in the Alappuzha-Pathanamthitta District region are under the University of Kerala. Ms. Arya A.R. (NSS Student Co-Ordinator, Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara) and Mr. Joyal Joseph represented the college.
