SAYONARA Farewell Ceremony 2025
The teachers and non-teaching staff of the Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara B.Ed. Batch 2024-2026 (Pedagoziz), organised the SAYONARA (meaning farewell/goodbye) for the senior B.Ed. Batch of 2023-2025 held on 21st March 2025 at 10 am at the College Auditorium and the Natural Science classroom.
The program started with the prayer song by the college choir, followed by the welcome address by Mr. Joyal Joseph (Batch Representative of Pedagoziz B.Ed. Batch 2024-2026). Dr. Alie Molly Verghis delivered the principal's address, and Ms. Ammu A. (B.Ed. Natural Science) and Ms. Febha Sabu (B.Ed. Mathematics) delivered the felicitation address.
The junior batch, Pedagoziz B.Ed. Batch 2024-2026, sang the farewell song for their beloved seniors as a token of love.
The representatives from the senior batch share their feedback and experience during the session. The awards were distributed as part of the farewell session in the following order announced by Dr. Velayuthanan T. Nair, and awards were distributed by the teachers and non-teaching staff:
1. Sangeeth S. Kini for having been selected as the recipient of the BEST OUTGOING STUDENT AWARD for the academic year 2023-'25, in recognition of his wonderful versatility, varied skills, fruitful social interactions, and impressive academic and non-academic initiatives, witnessed throughout the academic year!
2. Lakshmi R Pillai for having been selected as the recipient of the BEST PERFORMER AWARD for the academic year 2023-'25, in appreciation of the many graceful and alluring performances that were staged throughout the year.
3. Adith Rajesh for having been selected as the recipient of the BEST ORGANIZER AWARD for the academic year 2023-'25, in appreciation of his impressive managerial skills that were displayed throughout the year.
4. Roshin Panicker for having been selected as the recipient of the BEST INSPIRER AWARD for the academic year 2023-'25, in appreciation of his unwavering dedication, exceptional resolve, and remarkable ability to inspire and empower others!
5. Manju B for having been selected as the recipient of the BEST INSPIRER AWARD for the academic year 2023-'25, in appreciation of her unwavering dedication, exceptional resolve, and remarkable ability to inspire and empower others!
6. Sneha K. John for having been selected as the recipient of the BEST ATTENDANCE AWARD for the academic year 2023-'25, in appreciation of her outstanding commitment, exemplary punctuality, and unwavering dedication reflected through consistent attendance!
7. Sebha Shibu secured BEST LIBRARY USER for the academic year 2023-'25, in appreciation of her highly utilized library facility in the college.
The teachers, namely Dr. Mumtas S., Dr. Elizabeth Joshua, and Dr. Sony Mary Verghese of the Peet Memorial Training College, share their experiences and pieces of advice with the outgoing student teachers from this institution.
Then the principal led the candlelight ceremony as part of the farewell program, which was an exclusive prayer and farewell occasion for the outgoing student teachers. They sang farewell songs and read excerpts from holy books, hymns, prayers, and farewell songs on this occasion by lightning lamp. After the program, the outgoing student teachers bid farewell to teachers and non-teaching staff. The food was provided for outgoing student teachers, teachers, non-teaching staff, and the present student teachers at 02:15 pm.
The group photo was taken after the food at 02:45 pm for the outgoing batch with teaching and non-teaching staff. The outgoing student teachers, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff went to the Natural Science at 3:00 pm. The junior batch Pedagoziz B.Ed. Batch 2024-2026 arranged arrangements to recall their B.Ed. Memories by hanging various photos with the help of yellow illumination lights, ribbons, and other articles. The junior batch created a two-minute short video titled "Stories of Peet", which highlights a brief academic life journey through their activities throughout their period.
Some outgoing student teachers delivered their experiences and responses for their academic life and the farewell. Mr. Sefon Sanu Mathew (Chairman, Dyuthi College Union) and Mr. Meril Iype Shaji (General Secretary, Dyuthi College Union) remarked on their experiences and felicitations with their seniors. The student teachers, outgoing student teachers, and teaching staff took photos of each other as part of their program. It was a good experience, and it is remarked as a good instance in my academic life. The farewell program came to an end at 5:00 pm.
