TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE I: WEEK 5: FIRST TERMINAL EXAMINATION (18.08.2025-22.08.2025)

TIME TABLE FOR HIGH SCHOOL SECTION

 Day 19: 18.08.2025 (Monday)

On the instructions of the Department of General Education, Government of Kerala, the First Terminal Examination has commenced today. I entered the school at 09:45 am and signed my attendance for the forenoon session. I entered the student teacher room, and I had a casual talk with other student teachers. Today I don't have any exam duty, and I was tense because my class (Class IX B) is going to write my subject, Social Science. During the forenoon, I had completed my school-based activity on EDU 12, and I went to various classes for a round in the school. At 11:15 am, we met the school headmistress to discuss future plans. I met some students after the exam to know about their feelings during the examination. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch for students in the school from 12:15 pm to 12:25 pm (first time) and 12:45 pm to 12:55 pm, and we had lunch in the student-teacher staff room. After lunch, Mary Chanchal and I signed the attendance for today's afternoon. During the afternoon, we spent the entire time completing college-related activities, verifying the draft project report, and analysing the question paper of the Class IX Social Science text. From 03:00 pm onwards, we had a disciplinary duty with Abhija (St. Mary's Women's College for Teacher Education, Thiruvalla). Our discipline duty ended at 03:45 pm, and we left the school at 03:50 pm.


                                                           Day  20: 19.08.2025 (Tuesday)

It was the second day of the fifth week of our school internship. I entered the school at 09:45 am and signed my attendance for the forenoon session. I entered the student teacher room, and I had a casual talk with other student teachers. Today I don't have any exam duty. I spent the time trying to write the first lesson plan on health education based on the Class IX textbook and writing my social science lesson plan. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch for students in the school from 12:15 pm to 12:25 pm. At 12:30 pm, the arrangements for the School Parliament election were started with Jayadev G. (HST Hindi & Returning Officer, High School level). The first meeting of the School Parliament was held at 12:45 pm, with a welcome by Jayadev G., welcomed by Vijayalekshmi K. (Headmistress), and returning officers from the upper primary and the higher secondary levels remarked on the felicitation address. After the election, newly elected office bearers take an oath in the presence of the headmistress. Due to the school parliament election, I was late eating my lunch, and it was completed at 01:45 pm. Then I spent time completing the school parliament-related records. At 03:00 pm, we had a disciplinary duty with Ansu (St. Mary's Women's College for Teacher Education, Thiruvalla). Our discipline duty ended at 03:45 pm, and we left the school at 03:50 pm.





Day 21: 20.08.2025 (Wednesday)

It was the third day of the fifth week of our school internship. I entered the school at 09:45 am and signed my attendance for the forenoon session. I entered the student teacher room, and I had a casual talk with other student teachers. Today I don't have any exam duty. I spent the time trying to write the second lesson plan on health education based on the Class IX textbook and preparing PowerPoint presentations for the upcoming classes. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch for students in the school from 12:00 pm to 12:25 pm. After that, we had lunch with other teacher trainees, and we signed the afternoon attendance after lunch. Then I resumed my work till 03:00 pm. We had a disciplinary duty with Mary Chanchal. Our discipline duty ended at 03:45 pm, and we left the school at 03:50 pm.
 

Day 22: 21.08.2025 (Thursday)

It was the fourth day of the fifth week of our school internship. I entered the school at 09:45 am and signed my attendance for the forenoon session. I entered the student teacher room, and I had a casual talk with other student teachers. Today I don't have any exam duty. I spent the time trying to write the notes. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch for students in the school from 12:00 pm to 12:25 pm. After that, we had lunch with other teacher trainees, and we signed the afternoon attendance after lunch. Then I resumed my work till 03:00 pm. We had a disciplinary duty. Our discipline duty ended at 03:45 pm, and we left the school at 03:50 pm.

Day 23: 22.08.2025 (Friday)

It was the fourth day of the fifth week of our school internship. I entered the school at 09:45 am and signed my attendance for the forenoon session. I entered the student teacher room, and I had a casual talk with other student teachers. Today I had an exam duty for a few minutes at Class VIII C. I spent the time trying to write the notes. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch for students in the school from 12:00 pm to 12:25 pm. After that, we had lunch with other teacher trainees, and we signed the afternoon attendance after lunch. Then I resumed my work till 03:00 pm. Dr. Mumtas S., Assistant Professor of the Peet Memorial Training College, arrived at the school and had a conversation with the headmistress and us till 03:45 pm. We left the school at 03:50 pm. On the notice from the college principal, Mary Chanchal and I are going to return to the college for college-related activities and for Onam vacation.
