INAUGURATION OF NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING AND ANNUAL DAY FOR THE MAHATMA BOYS' HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL, CHENNITHALA
The Inauguration of the newly constructed High School building of the Mahatma Boys' Higher Secondary School, Chennithala, was held on September 25, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. The programme started with the lightning lamp, unveiling the marble stone and the ribbon cutting ceremony, inaugurated by Mr Saji Cheriyan (Minister of Culture, Fisheries, and Youth Affairs, Government of Kerala & MLA of Chengannur Legislative Assembly). Then the distinguished guests and other attendees went to the Mahatma Public School Conference Hall, and the inaugural session started at 10:45 a.m. The inaugural session was started with the welcome speech by Mr Gopimohanan Nair Kannankara (Manager, Mahatma Schools). Mr C.K. Cheriyan Kottapurathu (President, School Management Committee) presided over the session. Mr Anilkumar V.K. (Vice President, School Management Committee). The Inaugural session was inaugurated by Mr Saji Cheriyan (Minister of Culture, Fisheries, and Youth Affairs, Government of Kerala & MLA of Chengannur Legislative Assembly), and he addressed the session to the students, teachers, parents and well-wishers. Mr Ramesh Chennithala MLA (Permanent Invitee, Congress Working Committee & Alumnus, MGBHSS) inaugurated the Annual Day, and he honoured Mr S Krishnan Nampoothiri (Former Manager), Mr Prabhakaran Pillai C.P. (Committee Member), former teachers, and winners of SSLC/ Plus Two/ Sports and Arts. Then he addresses the session. Mrs Vijayamma Philendran (President, Chennithala- Thrippenthura Grama Panchayat), Ms Athira G. (Member, Alappuzha District Panchayat), Mrs Sukumari Thankachan (Vice President, Mavelikara Block Panchayat), Mrs Sindhu Hameed (District Education Officer (In-Charge), Mavelikara), Mr K. Sreekumar (Joint Secretary, Managing Committee), Mr Satheesh Chennithala (Member, Managing Committee), Mr K Narayapillai (Member, Managing Committee), Mr G. Harikumar (Member, Managing Committee), Mr R Rajan Nair (Member, Managing Committee), Mr C.P. Prabhakaran Pillai (Member, Managing Committee), Mrs Reshmi Krishnaraj (Member, Managing Committee), Mr Deepu Padakathil (Chairman, Chennithala- Thrippenthura Grama Panchayat Standing Committee), Mr Ashokan Nair (Secetary, Nair Service Society Karayogams Coordination Committee), Mr Praveen Pranavam (President, Parents Teachers Association, MBHSS), Mr P.B. Sooraj (President, Parents Teachers Association, MGHS), Mrs Aswathy (Principal, MHSS), Mrs Vijayalekshmi (Headmistress, MBHSS), Mrs Deepa Mohan (Headmistress, MGHS), Mrs S. Krishnakumari (Principal, Mahatma Public School), Mr R. Rajeevan (Alumni Association), Mr Jayadev (Staff Secretary, HS- MBHS) and Mrs Sindhu (Staff Secretary, HS- MGHS) felicitated the session. Mr G Yohannan (Secretary, School Managing Committee) delivered the vote of thanks to the session. The Lunch was arranged by the school management from 12:30 pm to 02 pm. During the afternoon, the students and teachers of the Mahatma Schools performed after the inaugural session. The Karokke Ganamela by the Naadamm Ochastra, Harippad, was held from 03:15 am to 05 pm. The programme ended at 05:00 am.
