TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE I: WEEK 9 (22.09.2025-26.09.2025)

                                                         Day 33: 22.09.2025 (Monday)

The first day of Week 9 of the School Internship Phase I in the B.Ed. Curriculum. I arrived at the school by 09:10 a.m. and kept my bag in the teacher trainee staff room, where I signed my forenoon attendance. I returned to the student teachers' room and discussed today's activities with the other student teachers. Then I talked with other teachers and teacher trainees about upcoming activities. The school officially started at 09:30 am with the prayer song. During the first three periods and the morning interval, I was engaged in writing the lesson plan for the upcoming days. In the fourth period, I went to Class IX B and taught 'The Social Aspects of South India' in Chapter 3, ' Land Grants and the Indian Society' in the Social Science II. It was an average experience that helped me improve my teaching skills, and students responded actively.  Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch for students in the school from 12:30 pm to 12:40 pm, and we had lunch in the student-teacher staff room. After lunch, I signed the attendance for the afternoon session. During the fifth and sixth periods, I attended substitution classes in Class VIII A, V A & VII A, and wrote lesson plans after each class. In the seventh and eighth periods, I went for bus duty. We sang the National Anthem at 3:40 pm, and school officially closed. We then left the school at 04:00 pm after obtaining permission from the administration. 


                                                      Day 34: 23.09.2025 (Tuesday)

The second day of Week 9 of the School Internship Phase I in the B.Ed. Curriculum. I arrived at the school by 09:10 a.m, kept my bag in the teacher trainee staff room, where I signed my forenoon attendance. I returned to the student teachers' room and discussed today's activities with the other student teachers. Then I talked with other teachers and teacher trainees about upcoming activities. The school officially started at 09:30 am with the prayer song. During the first three periods and the morning interval, I was engaged in writing the lesson plan for the upcoming days. During the third and fourth periods, I taught a class by substituting for the regular class on the 'Social and Cultural aspects and the Dravidian architecture' in the Social Science I textbook. It was a good class in which students were actively engaged. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch for students in the school from 12:30 pm to 12:40 pm, and we had lunch in the student-teacher staff room. After lunch, I signed the attendance for the afternoon session. During the fifth and sixth periods, I spent time writing lesson plans. During the last two periods, I was engaged in the bus duty. We sang the National Anthem at 3:40 pm, and school officially closed. We then left the school at 04:00 pm after obtaining permission from the administration. 



Day 35: 24.09.2025 (Wednesday)

The third day of Week 9 of the School Internship Phase I in the B.Ed. Curriculum. I arrived at the school by 09:10 a.m. and kept my bag in the teacher trainee staff room, where I signed my forenoon attendance. I returned to the student teachers' room and discussed today's activities with the other student teachers. Then I talked with other teachers and teacher trainees about upcoming activities. The school officially started at 09:30 am with the special assembly. The Assembly was conducted in Sanskrit by the initiative of Mrs Namitha U., the Sanskrit teacher of the school and her Sanskrit students from the classes V to VIII. Students conducted a prayer song, slokhas, speech in the Sanskrit language. The Headmistress gave directions to the students for the inauguration of the newly constructed school building and the Annual Day. After that, the Headmistress distributed the certificates for various achievements in Cultural, social and academic achievements. The Assembly dismissed at 10:15 a.m. During the second and third periods, we are engaged in the upcoming programmes such as the School building inauguration and the School Youth Festival. In the fourth period, I taught a class at Class IX B and provided notes and introduced the new chapter title, "Demographic Trends in India". It was an average experience that helped me to nurture my teaching profession more fruitfully, and students engaged in the learning experience. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch for students in the school from 12:30 pm to 12:40 pm, and we had lunch in the student-teacher staff room. After lunch, I signed the attendance for the afternoon session. During the fifth period, we are engaged in the upcoming programmes such as the School building inauguration and the School Youth Festival. The School officially closed at 02:10 pm due to the preparations for the school function. I took charge of the disciplinary duty for the while. The teachers and student teachers are engaged in the school function for the next two days. We then left the school at 04:00 pm after obtaining permission from the administration. 



Day 36: 25.09.2025 (Thursday)

The fourth day of Week 9 of the School Internship Phase I in the B.Ed. Curriculum. It was the day of the newly constructed building of the Mahatma Boys' Higher Secondary School, Chennithala. I arrived at the school at 08:45 p.m. and we made arrangements for the programme. The meeting started at 10:30 a.m. with the inauguration of the building by Mr Saji Cheriyan (Minister of Culture & Youth Affairs, Government of Kerala & Member of Legislative Assembly, Chenngannur Legislative Assembly). Other dignitaries, including Mr Ramesh Chennithala (Harippad MLA & Permanent Invitee, Congress Working Committee), attended the session. We had lunch arranged by the school authorities, including Payasam. During the Afternoon, we were engaged in attending cultural programmes and practising dance for Upper primary students for the School Youth Festival (URL https://www.youtube.com/live/rQlMyiDbqHY?si=sJ0dJA4IvfCCd0Zo). The programme came to an end at 04:30 p.m.  but due to heavy rain, I left the school with the permission of the school authorities at 04:00 p.m.  (More details of this day will be read in another blog)






Day 37: 26.09.2025 (Friday)

The fifth day of Week 9 of the School Internship Phase I in the B.Ed. Curriculum. It was the day of the school youth festival of the Mahatma Boys' Higher Secondary School, Chennithala. I reached the school at 09:10 a.m. and I went to the Headmistress's room and signed the attendance register. And discussed today's activities with the other student teachers. Then I talked with other teachers and teacher trainees about upcoming activities. The Mahatma Utsavam Youth Festival 2K25 at 10:30 a.m. The first session of the programme is the Inaugural session, and the second part is the cultural competitions performed by the students. I engaged the programme throughout the Youth festival by capturing photos and videos, stage management and the judging in various competitions. I ate my lunch at 12:15 p.m. and I distributed food for the students from 12:45 p.m. to 01:00 p.m. I did some office work in between during the youth festival. I left the college at 03:30 p.m. with the permission of the teacher.
