TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE II: WEEK 2 (17.11.2025-21.11.2025)

Day 3: 17.11.2025 (Monday)

It was the first day of the second week of the Second phase of the School Internship. I entered the school at 09:10 am, signed my forenoon attendance at the Headmistress's room, then went to the staffroom and had a casual conversation with the teachers. The school officially started after the prayer song. During the first three periods, I was engaged in the school internship-related activities. During the fourth period, I taught the Social Science class in Class IX B, the topic "Election Commission of India" under the Chapter "Extension of Democracy through Institutions". It was an average experience, and students actively engaged in the learning process. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch to the students, and I returned to the staffroom and had my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance at the Headmistress's room, and I again went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with teachers. During the fifth period, I was engaged in the school internship-related activities. During the sixth period, I had a substitution at Class IX A, and students initiated their own academic activities during this time. In the last two periods, I had the bus duty with other teachers, and students joined the bus on various trips. The school closed with the National Anthem at 03:45 pm, and I left the school with the permission of the Headmistress at 03:50 pm. 


Day 4: 18.11.2025 (Tuesday)

It was the second day of the second week of the Second phase of the School Internship. I entered the school at 09:13 am, signed my forenoon attendance at the Headmistress's room, then went to the staffroom and had a casual conversation with the teachers. The school officially started after the prayer song. In the first two periods, I was engaged in the school internship-related activities. In the third period, I had a substitution at Class VIII B and initiated the Rubik's Cube problem-solving activity.  Many students were actively engaged in this activity. During the fourth period, I taught the Social Science class in Class IX B, the topic "Functions of the Election Commission of India" under the Chapter "Extension of Democracy through Institutions". It was an average experience, and students actively engaged in the learning process. Dr Mumtas S, Assistant Professor, Peet Memorial Training College, observed my class. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch to the students, and I returned to the staffroom and had my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then I went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with the teachers. During the fifth and sixth periods, I was engaged in the school internship-related activities. In the last two periods, I had the bus duty with other teachers, and students joined the bus on various trips. The school closed with the National Anthem at 03:45 pm, and I left the school with the permission of the Headmistress at 03:55 pm. 


Day 5: 19.11.2025 (Wednesday)

It was the third day of the second week of the Second phase of the School Internship. I entered the school at 9:13 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. Then I went on discipline duty for a while. The school officially started after the prayer song. Then I got the substitution at Class IX B and taught the topic "Representation of the People's Act, 1950 & 1951"under the chapter "Extension of Democracy through Institutions". This topic primarily discusses the procedures related to elections in India, overseen by the Election Commission of India. It was an average experience, and students actively engaged in the learning process. During the second period, I was involved in school internship-related activities. In the third period, I went to Class VII A for substitution with Ashik M. Modi and engaged them with indoor activities. During the fourth period, I taught the Social Science class in Class IX B, the topic "National Human Rights Commission" under the Chapter "Extension of Democracy through Institutions". It was an average experience, and students actively engaged in the learning process. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch to the students, and I returned to the staffroom and had my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then I went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with the teachers. During the fifth period, I had a substitution in Class VIII C with Ashik M. Modi and engaged them with indoor activities. In the sixth period, I went to Class X B (Substitution) instead of Class IX B due to an internal arrangement with Vijayalekshmi Teacher (HSA Mathematics). During the last two periods, I supervised the physical education periods for classes VIII A& VIII B. The school closed with the National Anthem at 03:45 pm, and I left the school with the permission of the Headmistress at 03:55 pm. 


Day 6: 20.11.2025 (Thursday)

It was the fourth day of the second week of the Second phase of the School Internship. I entered the school at 9:13 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. Then I went for discipline duty for a while. The school officially started after the prayer song. In the first period, I was engaged in the substitution at Class VIII B with Ashik M. Modi, and we initiated to read the English textbook reading by the students for improving their reading skills. In the Second period, I made another substitution at Class VIII A and managed the class. In the third period, I was involved in school internship-related activities. During the fourth period, I taught the Social Science class in Class IX B, the topic "State Election Commission" under the Chapter "Extension of Democracy through Institutions". It was an average experience, and students actively engaged in the learning process. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch to the students, and I returned to the staffroom and had my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then I went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with the teachers. During the fifth period, I was involved in school internship-related activities. In the sixth period, I went to Class X B for the substitution and managed the class. During the last two periods, I had the bus duty with other teachers, and students joined the bus on various trips. The school closed with the National Anthem at 03:45 pm, and I left the school with the permission of the Headmistress at 03:55 pm. 


Day 7: 21.11.2025 (Friday)

It was the second day of the second week of the Second phase of the School Internship. I entered the school at 9:13 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. Then I went for discipline duty for a while. The school officially started after the prayer song. During the first period, I was engaged in the school internship-related activities. During the second period, I went to Class VIII A for substitution and managed the class. During the third period, I taught the Social Science class in Class IX B, the topic "Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 & Functions of the National Human Rights Commission" under the Chapter "Extension of Democracy through Institutions". It was an average experience, and students actively engaged in the learning process. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch to the students. Then I engaged in the school internship-related activities.  Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch to the students, and I returned to the staffroom and had my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then I went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with the teachers.  In the fifth period, I went to Class VIII B for the substitution and managed the class. During the sixth and seventh periods, the school, in connection with the NSS unit of the Peet Memorial Training College, organised a special awareness lecture on Diabetes Day. The session was led by Dr Archana G,  BAMS (Ayurvedic Doctor, Cherthala) led the session that discussed the lifestyle and food among the students with the help of activity. In the last period, I went on the bus duty with other teachers and students. The school closed with the National Anthem at 03:45 pm, and I left the school with the permission of the Headmistress at 03:47 pm.
