TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE II: WEEK 3 (24.11.2025-28.11.2025)

 Day 7: 24.11.2025 (Monday)

It was the first day of the third week of the School Internship's Second phase. I entered the school at 9:10 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. The school officially started after the prayer song. During the first three periods, I was engaged in the school internship-related activities. During the fourth period, I taught the Social Science class in Class IX B, the topic "National Commission for Women" under the Chapter "Extension of Democracy through Institutions". It was an average experience, and students actively engaged in the learning process and attained an understanding of the role of NCW in safeguarding the rights of women. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch to the students, and I returned to the staffroom and had my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance at the Headmistress's room, and I again went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with teachers. In the fifth period, I again went to Class IX B and provided notes for students. During the sixth period, I was engaged in the school internship-related activities. In the last two periods, I went for the bus duty with other teachers, and students joined the bus on various trips. The school closed with the National Anthem at 03:45 pm, and I left the school with the permission of the Headmistress at 03:50 pm. 


 Day 8: 25.11.2025 (Tuesday)

It was the second day of the third week of the second phase of the School Internship. I entered the school at 9:20 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. The school officially started after the prayer song. In the first period, I was given a substitution in  Class IX B and taught the topic "National Commission for Women" under the chapter "Extension of Democracy through Institutions". This topic primarily discusses the procedures related to elections in India, overseen by the Election Commission of India. It was an average experience, and students actively engaged in the learning process. Then the first three periods, I was engaged in the school internship-related activities. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch to the students, and I returned to the staffroom and had my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance at the Headmistress's room, and I again went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with teachers and attended the discipline duty with Ashik M Modi. In the fifth period, I again went to Class IX B, provided notes to students, and managed the class for a few minutes. During the sixth period, I was engaged in the school internship-related activities. In the last two periods, I went for the bus duty with other teachers, and students joined the bus on various trips. The school closed with the National Anthem at 03:45 pm, and I left the school with the permission of the Headmistress at 03:50 pm. 


 Day 9: 26.11.2025 (Wednesday)

It was the third day of the third week of the School Internship's Second phase. I entered the school at 9:10 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. The school officially started after the prayer song. In the first three periods, I was engaged in the school internship-related activities. During the fourth period, I taught the Social Science class in Class IX B, the topic "National Commission for Minorities" under the Chapter "Extension of Democracy through Institutions". It was a good experience, and students actively engaged in the learning process and attained an understanding of the role of the National Commission for Minorities in safeguarding the rights of religious and linguistic minorities. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch to the students, and I returned to the staffroom and had my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance at the Headmistress's room, and I again went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with teachers. In the fifth period, I was engaged in school internship-related activities. In the sixth period, I went to Class IX B and taught the "National Commissions for Scheduled Castes and Tribes". It was an average experience, and students actively engaged in the learning process and attained an understanding of the role of the National SC/ST commissions in safeguarding the rights of the scheduled castes and Tribes. Then I went to the staffroom and engaged in the school internship-related activities. I left the school at 03:00 PM due to a personal matter at home with the permission of the School Headmistress.


Day 10: 27.11.2025 (Thursday)

It was the fourth day of the third week of the second phase of the School Internship. I entered the school at 9:10 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. The school officially started after the prayer song. In the first two periods, I was engaged in school internship-related activities. In the third period, I went to Class VIII A for substitution and distributed the survey paper for Sinu Sam, the teacher trainee from the Mahatma Boys' HSS, Chennithala. The students actively participated in the survey on school connectedness and the Mental Health scale.  During the fourth period, I taught the Social Science class in Class IX B, the topic "National Commission for Backward Classes" under the Chapter "Extension of Democracy through Institutions". It was a good experience, and students actively engaged in the learning process and attained an understanding of the role of the National Commission for Minorities in safeguarding the rights of the backward classes. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch to the students, and I returned to the staffroom and had my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance at the Headmistress's room, and I again went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with teachers. In the fifth period, I again went to Class IX B, for substitution and distributed the survey paper for Sinu Sam, the teacher trainee from the Mahatma Boys' HSS, Chennithala. The students actively participated in the survey on school connectedness and the Mental Health scale. During the sixth period, I monitored the students on the ground during the Physical education period with Ashik M. Modi. In the seventh period, I was engaged in the bus duty. In the last period, I went to Class IX A and assisted Ashik M Modi for the Mathematics class. The school closed with the National Anthem at 03:45 pm, and I left the school with the permission of the Headmistress at 03:50 pm. 


Day 11: 28.11.2025 (Friday)

It was the fifth day of the third week of the second phase of the School Internship. I entered the school at 9:00 am, signed my forenoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then went to the staffroom, where I had a casual conversation with the teachers. The school officially started after the prayer song. During the first three periods, I was engaged in the school internship-related activities. During the fourth period, I taught the Social Science class in Class IX B, the topic "Role of Institutions to safeguard Democracy" under the Chapter "Extension of Democracy through Institutions". It was an average experience, and students actively engaged in the learning process and attained an understanding of the role of institutions in safeguarding Democracy in the country. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch to the students, and I returned to the staffroom and had my lunch. After lunch and utensil cleaning, I signed the afternoon attendance in the Headmistress's room, and then I went to the Staffroom and had a casual conversation with the teachers. The students celebrated the Birthday of the Headmistress Vijayalkshmi K. In the fifth and sixth periods, I engaged in substitution for different classes as the Physical Education period. The school closed at 03:15 pm, and I left the school with the permission of the Headmistress at 03:20 pm. 


The School Internship was paused from 29.11.2025 to 06.12.2025 due to academic, examination activities in the College and the Christmas vacation. The School Internship will resume on 07.01.2026.
