TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE I: WEEK 11 (06.10.2025- 10.10.2025)

Day 41: 06.10.2025 (Monday)

It was the first day of the 11th week of the B.Ed. First phase school Internship. I arrived at the school by 09:20 a.m. and kept my bag in the teacher trainee staff room, where I signed my forenoon attendance. I returned to the student teachers' room and discussed today's activities with the other student teachers. Then I talked with other teachers and teacher trainees about upcoming activities. The school officially started at 09:30 am with the prayer song. During the first and third periods, I was engaged in the school internship activities. During the second period, I had a substitution at Class VIII C and managed the whole class. In the fourth period, I went to Class IX B and introduced the new chapter in the Social Science I title " Demographic Trends in India", which presents the population, demography, census and other related terms and factors. It was a nice class that effectively discussed the topic. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch for students in the school from 12:30 pm to 12:40 pm, and we had lunch in the student-teacher staff room. After lunch, I signed the attendance for the afternoon session. During the fifth period, I resumed the class at Class IX B on the same topic. It was a nice experience, and the students were interested in the topic. In the sixth period, I provided the remedial class for one student who was in the Malayalam medium in my class. The class ended at 02:30 pm due to a PTA meeting. I had the bus duty after the class till 03:05 pm. I left the school at 03:05 pm.

Day 42: 07.10.2025 (Tuesday)

It was the second day of the 11th week of the B.Ed. First phase school Internship. I arrived at the school by 09:10 a.m. and kept my bag in the teacher trainee staff room, where I signed my forenoon attendance. I returned to the student teachers' room and discussed today's activities with the other student teachers. Then I talked with other teachers and teacher trainees about upcoming activities. The school officially started at 09:30 am with the prayer song. During the first two periods, I was engaged in the school internship-related activities. During the period, I conducted the diagnostic test for Class IX B Social Science. Around 18 students out of 29 attended the exam in the diagnostic test. In the fourth period, I evaluated the answer sheets of the diagnostic test and recorded the marks in the prescribed sheet. Then I left school with the permission of Mrs Vijayalekshmi, the school Headmistress, to lead the conscienization programme at the Mahatma Girls' High School, Chennithala at 12:30 pm. I reached the Mahatma Girls' High School at 12:40 pm. I ate my lunch at the Mahatma Girls' High School and discussed the plan for the conscienization programme with other teacher trainees. Then I went to Class VIII B and taught the lecture on the topic " Road Safety" from 1:00 pm to 1:35 pm.(https://joyaljosephpmtc.blogspot.com/2025/10/the-road-to-safer-you-road-safety.html)  Then I returned to the teacher trainee room and discussed feedback on the programme and further developments. I went to the Mahatma Boys' Higher Secondary School, Chennithala at 01:50 pm. I reached the Mahatma Boys' Higher Secondary School, Chennithala, at 02:00 pm. I went to the headmistress's room and signed my afternoon attendance. Then I went to the staffroom and did my work related to the school internship till 03:00 pm. Then I went to school bus duty at 03:00 pm and managed till 04:00 pm. The school adjourned at 03:30 pm due to a staff meeting. I left the school with the permission of the headmistress at 04:00 pm. 

Day 43: 08.10.2025 (Wednesday)

It was the third day of the 11th week of the B.Ed. First phase school Internship. I arrived at the school by 09:00 a.m. and kept my bag in the teacher trainee staff room, where I signed my forenoon attendance. I returned to the student teachers' room and discussed today's activities with the other student teachers. Then I talked with other teachers and teacher trainees about upcoming activities. The school officially started at 09:30 am with the prayer song. During the first two periods, I was preparing the diagnostic chart for my diagnostic test related to the school internship. In the middle of the second period, I called some students who were not participating in the diagnostic test and conducted a special exam for 5 students. During the third period, I evaluated the answer scripts of the diagnostic test. In the fourth period, I went to Class IX B and introduced the new chapter in the Social Science I title " Demographic Trends in India", which presents the migration and the related facts. It was a nice class that effectively discussed the topic. Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch for students in the school from 12:30 pm to 12:40 pm, and we had lunch in the student-teacher staff room. After lunch, I signed the attendance for the afternoon session. During the fifth period, I conducted the diagnostic test for 2 students, and I evaluated the answer scripts. During the sixth period, I went to class IX B and resumed the class on the topic 'migration'. In the last two periods, the National Service Scheme of the Mahatma Boys' Higher Secondary School, Chennithala, conducted the Food Fest for the students and teachers. The NSS volunteers prepared a variety of food items for exhibition and sale. Meanwhile, I went to school bus duty at 03:00 pm and managed till 04:00 pm. The school adjourned at 03:45 pm with the National Anthem. I left the school with the permission of the headmistress at 04:00 pm. 

Day 44: 09.10.2025 (Thursday)

It was the third day of the 11th week of the B.Ed. First phase school Internship. As per the instructions of the Headmistress, I had the escorting duty for the Mavelikara Sub-District School Science, Social Science, Maths, IT & Work Experience Fair 2025, held at the Bishop Hodges Higher Secondary School, Mavelikara. I entered the Mahatma Boys' Higher Secondary School, Chennithala, at 08:30 am. I called the students participating in the Science fair and made arrangements for the event. The students assembled at the school and departed from the school at 08:45 am with 9 students and Abhija teacher. We reached the school at 09:00 am by private bus and met Anagha Teacher and Kavitha Teacher at the Mahatma Boys' Higher Secondary School. We escorted the students and made arrangements to find out the venue for the students for the various items. The teacher found out the venue, and we occupied the students in various venues for various competitions. We waited at the Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, for a few hours. I met my friends, teachers, and other friends during this time and spoke a lot. Then I went to the office and made some arrangements related to college-related activities. Then I went to various venues and collected photographs for the Science Fair and discussed the feedback from my friends and juniors who were deployed for the Science Fair as observers, volunteers and invigilators. We had lunch at the Peet Memorial Training College, which we brought from home. Meanwhile, some students gave feedback to us on the Science Fair, and they also had lunch and went to their respective venues for the judging. Abhija called 4 students for the return journey at 02:45 pm. Other teachers waited till 4 pm to conclude the programme. Other students' judgment ended at 04:00 pm, and we departed from the Bishop Hodges Higher Secondary School, Mavelikara at 04:10 pm, and we reached school at 04:20 pm. I accompanied with other 4 students and I reported them to the school. I left school at 04:25 pm with the permission of the school administration. 

Day 45: 10.10.2025 (Friday)

It was the fifth day of the 11th week of the B.Ed. First phase school Internship. I arrived at the school by 09:10 a.m. and kept my bag in the teacher trainee staff room, where I signed my forenoon attendance. I returned to the student teachers' room and discussed today's activities with the other student teachers. Then I talked with other teachers and teacher trainees about upcoming activities. The school officially started at 09:30 am with the prayer song. In the first two periods, I was engaged in the school internship-related activities. In the third period, I went to Class IX B and introduced the new chapter in the Social Science I title " Demographic Trends in India", which presented the Birth Rate, Death Rate, Infant Mortality Rate, Maternal Mortality Rate, and Population Density. It was a nice class that effectively discussed the topic. In the fourth period, I resumed my school internship-related activities. At this time, the doctors and other staff of the Primary Health Centre, Chennithala, arrived at the school and diagnosed the teachers and students related to lifestyle diseases.  Then I went to the kitchen and distributed lunch for students in the school from 12:30 pm to 12:40 pm, and we had lunch in the student-teacher staff room. After lunch, I signed the attendance for the afternoon session. During the fifth period, there was an Anti-Drug Campaign by the Lions Club International with a video programme and other activities. During the sixth period, I conducted the diagnostic retest for two students and evaluated and wrote a record related to the diagnostic test. Then I went to school bus duty at 03:00 pm and managed till 04:00 pm. The school adjourned at 03:30 pm. I left the school with the permission of the headmistress at 04:00 pm.
